What if Sylvia Plath pulled her head out of the oven in the London apartment in time? And then was sent to Waukegan, Illinois to write a one-act play. Chloe and Rhonda are locals who vie for the lead in the play, while Brad is the tired director. Plath’s difficult assimilation finds her pissed at Ted, her estranged husband, and examining her exile in Waukegan. She vacillates between being wary of the locals and tenderness for them.
