A story of order and disorder, reality and appearance and love and marriage. Theseus, Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons are to be married and great celebrations are planned.  The famous Shakespearean play consists of four plots connected by a celebration of the wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and Hippolyta, which are set simultaneously in the woodland and in the realm of Fairyland, under the light of the moon.

About the Playwright: William Shakespeare

Renowned poet, actor, and playwright, William Shakespeare has delighted the entire world with his words since the 16th century.¬† A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of his classic comedies.

About the Director: Lyric Simonson

Lyric Simonson is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside with a BA in Theatre Arts. Over her time there, she has acted, directed, and done a variety of other positions for their productions. This is her first time working with the Three Brother’s Theatre family, but is not a stranger to the Chicago theatre scene. In 2018, she traveled with The Shakespeare Project of Chicago and performed in their production of Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is all too familiar with Shakespeare himself. In 2016, she graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art with a Certification in Classical Acting.
