In November of 2019, Ben Braun lost his brother to suicide. Two months later he finished this play, a chronicle of his feelings, pain, confusion, and contradiction that come with extreme grief. Directed by his longtime partner Cassidy Skorija, Puzzle of Puzzles is about the loss of words, meaning through despair, and finding happiness in the hardest moments.

About the Playwright: Ben Braun

Ben Braun is a Milwaukee-based playwright who lives in Saint Francis Wisconsin.  Puzzle of Puzzles is his second show to be staged with Three Brothers Theatre, where he is proudly a playwright-in-residence.  He graduated from Carthage College in 2019.

About the Director: Cassidy Skorija

Cassidy Skorija is a Milwaukee-based theater artist and administrator, and currently works at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She was previously seen onstage at Three Brothers as Martha in Spring Awakening. She graduated from Carthage College in 2019 with a degree in Music Theatre. Cassidy is proud to make her directorial debut and grateful for the opportunity to help share this story.
