A classic farce to kick off 2025. In an English vicarage, the vicar and his new wife are overwhelmed by a battery of guests, including an American G.I. stationed with the Air Force in England, a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old dowager who “touches alcohol for the first time in her life,” a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings-on, and four men in identical clergyman suits, one of whom is an escaped prisoner. You’ll be in stitches all night long!

The Old Man is the sole caretaker of the moon and has been responsible for filling it for longer than he (or his wife, the Old Woman) can remember. When the old woman is drawn away by a mysterious melody evoking memories of their past, the Old Man must decide between duty to the moon and love of adventure. what follows is an imaginative and delightful adventure including a sea-faring epic, apocalyptic storms, civil wars, leviathans of the deep, and cantankerous ghosts, as well as the fiercest obstacle of all: change. Join us for a unique blend of music, storytelling, and shadow puppets.

The Waukegan Theatre Festival (WTF) has been around since the inception of Three Brothers Theatre over a decade ago. It has been produced in many shapes and forms over the years, however, it has always been committed to showcasing new plays. In 2025 we would like to expand that commitment by altering the format of the festival. In order to include other organizations and artists we would like to create a weekend of performances at various venues in the Downtown Waukegan area. The festival is set to take place August 1st - 3rd. We invite theatres, independent artists, organizations, and anyone with a theatrical or performance based project to submit to the 2025 WTF. We would prefer new and/or devised performances, however, we are open to all possible submissions
Application due March 1st, 2025
